Our founder, Linda, is a long-time yogi, instructor, and mother of three. Through years of daily practice and teaching, she noticed something unsettling—many mats released strong odors or chemical residues when exposed to heat and sweat.
She imagined a mat she would feel safe practicing on while pregnant, and proud to see her kids play on.

Core belief: VIVA started with a simple but important belief: A yoga mat should protect your breath, your movement, and your peace of mind.
A mat that was steady underfoot, gentle on the skin, and kind to the earth. Rather than compromise, she chose to build something better—for herself, her students, and her family.
